SIDE Locksmiths was founded with one simple goal: to provide South Yorkshire with a locksmith service built on honesty, transparency and genuine care.
We believe South Yorkshire deserves better. A locksmith service that's genuinely local, genuinely honest, and genuinely professional. That's SIDE.
"Because Security Starts With Trust"
I'm Stefan Chelaru, and I run SIDE Locksmiths. I started the business because I kept meeting people in South Yorkshire who'd been let down by locksmiths they couldn't verify — unnamed companies, unclear prices, and no idea who was actually drilling their lock.
I wanted SIDE to be the opposite. When you call, you speak to me directly. When I arrive at your door, you know my name, you've seen my reviews, and you have a fixed price before I pick up a single tool. Every job — from a lockout to a full lock upgrade — is carried out by me personally.
I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and carry £1 million public liability cover, £100,000 professional indemnity and product insurance. I've been trading since 2024, I fit British Standard locks and quality parts, and I'll always tell you honestly what needs doing and what doesn't. That's the standard SIDE was built on.
